Managing Director / Founder
Financial Migration Group founder and Director, Mike Wilkey has been working in the financial services sector for over twenty years. Based in Havelock North, Mike is UK FPC qualified and is a New Zealand Authorised Financial Adviser. Before moving to New Zealand Mike was regional Sales and Compliance Manager with the Bank of Ireland UK retail division and Aviva.
Mike is currently chairman of a New Zealand UK pension transfer group of specialist advisers and is highly experienced in the transfer of UK pension funds. He has been in the Financial Services industry for 25 years both in The UK and New Zealand.
Matthew has been a taxation specialist for eleven years, including nine years working for Inland Revenue in the international and complex taxation areas. Matthew has a broad understanding of New Zealand’s taxation system and as an International Taxation specialist, he possesses a wide understanding of the tax rules that apply to new and returning migrants, to the advantage of his clients.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, majoring in Management and Small Business, and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting. He is also a member of Chartered Accountants Australia/New Zealand.
Mike Williams founded TaxBridge in 2017 with the goal of making high quality domestic and cross border employment tax and personal tax advisery services more accessible to people and organisations looking for deep specialist tax knowledge at a reasonable price point.
With over 30 years’ experience working within the “Big 4” accounting firms in New Zealand and the UK, Mike is vastly experienced in managing complex employment tax and personal tax issues on an international and domestic platform.
Having moved from the UK to New Zealand 12 years ago with his family and, as a migrant himself, Mike understands the challenges that businesses and individuals can face in exploring new locations and unchartered business territory.
Client Services manager
Paula is our Client Services manager. Paula has a background in UK financial services administration and moved to New Zealand with her husband Graham and her 2 children in 2006.
Paula manages the workflow of each pension transfer case and is the first point of contact for our clients as their transfer progresses. She also liaises on a daily basis with our UK agent, Kirsty Grimes.
Client Relationship Manager – Bay of Plenty
After working in London as a credit controller, and in Sheffield for an insolvency practitioner, Louise lived and worked in Malaysia for 12 years. Leaving Malaysia in October 2015, she moved to Tauranga with her partner Wayne.
She has two grown up children, one who lives in London and the other in Australia. Louise’s role is to meet with our new clients and help them to make an informed decision about transferring their UK pension to New Zealand.
She can meet at your convenience to introduce our services and talk you through our transfer process in detail over a coffee close to where you work.
Louise will also keep clients informed about the progress of their transfer once underway and introduce clients to one of our partners should they require advice in other areas such as tax or risk planning.
UK Pension Transfer Support
Kirsty is based in the UK and is our main contact point for all communication with UK Pension Scheme providers. She ensures that our requests are logged with the UK trustees and that all transfer documentation and requests for information are dealt with in a timely manner.
She is also our point of contact for any UK clients who may be considering moving to New Zealand in the future.
Chris is our senior insurance broker and has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry. Chris will explain , in plain english the different policies available and the interplay between them and before he even considers giving advice he gets to know his clients and their lifestyle.
Chris can offer clients a comprehensive range of insurances including Life, Trauma, Income protection, Medical and Business Insurance from New Zealand’s leading insurance companies.
Prior to taking over the Hawkes Bay Mike Pero franchise Matt had 10 years banking experience firstly working in Wellington for 7 years as an Associate at ANZ Private Bank and then 3 years for Westpac Agribusiness in Hastings.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Sport Business Management from Massey University and is currently completing a graduate diploma in financial planning.
